Bonnet Orchid (Cryptostylis erecta)

Bonnet-Orchid-(Cryptostylis-erecta)

2.-Bonnet-Orchid-(Cryptostylis-erecta)

Another wonder of the plant kingdom native to Woollamia.
I found these Bonnet Orchids today, there in small patches and seem to grow where the bushland has been mowed, giving them the chance to compete against the usual densely packed undergrowth.
All Australian species of Cryptostylis are pollinated by the males of the ichneumon wasp.
