Beautiful detail on display.

Following on from a previous post here are a few more examples of the fine detail that adorns the museum’s collection of swords.
Again please excuse the slight glare as they were shot through glass.

  1. Your photography will improve greatly once you eliminate the shadows. Either no flash or bounce it off the background.

  2. I agree totally John...but these were shot through glass in a shallow display case in a dark environment hand held so unfortunately flash is the only option and they were shot just for the purpose of the blog,,,
    At the moment every article on display is being photographed by a professional photographer using lamps and curved white planes, and cleaned where necessary.I have see some of the results and they are fantastic, but my shots are taken for another purpose and i don't have the luxury of the things you point out.
