Early explorers sailed the seas with the ever present danger of being wrecked far from home on a hostile shore, their prospect of surviving  such an incident on a foreign land would have been remote. Following is a extract from a story aboard the Lady Nelson as she explored along the south coast of Australia. The Lady Nelson, under the command of Lieutenant Grant. R.N., put into Jervis Bay, where he remained four days.
