The Mokau wreck story makes a connection.

It’s always nice when one of the stories on this blog finds it’s way to a descendant of one of the ships that are apart of the rich maritime history of the south coast.
We recently received a comment on the Mokau story from Sue Rogers.

Thank you so much for this footage and photos, I am a descendent of B M Corrigan who owned this ship from 1904 to about 1919

Hopefully Sue may have some more information or photo’s to add to the story.
STOCKS-AND-DIES
A set of taps and die’s that were recovered from the Mokau, are part of the Museums collection.
